New York Collegiate Leadership Academy

Bellevue DECA will send ten students the second week of November to the Collegiate Leadership Academy run by the national DECA organization.  This opportunity allows students to gain professional experience by visiting workplaces, networking with hiring managers, and competing in a case study activity related to their career path.

Students can select one of five career tracks: advertising, fashion marketing and merchandising, international business and finance, hospitality and the culinary arts, and sports and entertainment marketing.  The different businesses that each group visits will reflect the common career interests of their respective track.

Those interested in partaking in this or other upcoming DECA leadership conferences should connect with Kyle in advance to discuss how much the school can pay towards each student coming along on the trip and what the copay amounts will likely add up to for each participant.
